Aircraft Rental Prices

  • Standard Airworthiness:
  • Cessna 172SPs (53468 and 916BA) - $120/hour
  • Cessna 172M (20454) - $95/hour
  • Cessna 150 (3123V) - $78/hour
  • Diamond Star DA40 (378DS) - $135/hour
  • Citabria (291CA) - $110/hour
     
  • Light Sport (LSA) Certified:
  • Gobosh G700 - $95/hr          
  • A22 Valor (706FP) - - $85/hr  

All rates are wet rates.

Block Time Discount! For every $1000 you prepay, Southern Maine Aviation will credit your account an extra $100! To be eligible, payment must be cash or check, and can be used for aircraft rental and instruction only.

  • Introductory Flights - $79 (in one of the Skyhawks)
     
  • Sport Intro Flights -  $69 (in one of the Light Sport Airplanes)
     

Flight Instruction

  • Ground Instruction - $40/hour
  • Flight Instruction (our aircraft) - $40/hour
  • Flight Instruction (your aircraft) - $45/hour

Fuel

  • Avgas 100LL (self service) - $5.70/gal
  • Avgas 100LL (full service) - $5.95/gal
  • Jet A - $5.75/gal

Discounts are available for large purchases of fuel. Call us for more information.

Tie Downs and Hangars

The Town is changing the tie down policy effective April 1, 2007.  The new rates for transient aircraft are listed below:

  • Single-engine piston aircraft - $7 per night or $40 per month.
  • Multi-engine aircraft < 12500lbs - $12 per night or $80 per month.
  • Aircraft > 12500lbs - $30 per night or $150 per month.

For aircraft based at Sanford Regional Airport, the fees are:

  • Single-engine aircraft - $220 for any consecutive 6 months or $400 annual
  • Multi-engine aircraft < 12500lbs - $275 for any consecutive 6 months or $500 annual

With any purchase of fuel, we'll waive the first night's parking fee.

Southern Maine Aviation storage fees:

  • "T" Hangar (40' span) - $25 per night
  • Hangar storage for larger aircraft - $40 to $200 per night

"T" Hangars start at $265 per month (unheated) and prices vary for long term storage of larger aircraft.

Maintenance

Shop rate:

  • $65 per hour fixed wing
  • $70 per hour helicopter
  • $95 per hour turbine

Annual inspections are priced based on the aircraft. Shop rate is charged for any necessary repairs.
