Sanford Regional Airport is truly a wonderful environment for flying. From beginning student to tail-wheel enthusiast to corporate jet jockey, our airport has something for everyone.
Two runways let us choose our wind conditions, and there's plenty of length for stop-and-go operations.
Wide grass areas adjacent to the runways make excellent training areas for tail-wheel takeoffs and landings. We have to remind ourselves to land on the asphalt from time to time, just in case we have to under pressure some day.
The instrument approaches are straightforward and obstruction free. And when you leave the airport, the beauty of the New England coastline awaits. Portsmouth is a short hop south, and Portland about the same distance to the north.
We're located on the WEST ramp of the airport, in the BIG BLUE HANGAR. And yes, we are home to a WWII PBY!
While you're here, stop over at the Cockpit Cafe for a delicious breakfast or lunch. They're open from 7-2 on weekdays, 7-noon on weekends.
Also check out our Photo Gallery of fun pictures of happenings around the airport!
